Purpose In Action · The 4-Week Operational Assessment

The way in. A paid audition — mine, not yours.

Before you commit to anything ongoing, we spend four weeks together. I embed in your business, talk to the people who actually run it, and hand you a prioritised plan to move forward. At the end, you decide — carry on with me, or take the plan to anyone you like. No obligation. The work earns the right to continue.

What it really is

This isn't a sales process dressed up as a diagnostic. It's a paid audition — mine. Four weeks for us to get to know each other properly, and for me to prove the value of how I work by actually doing it inside your business. You come away with a real plan and an honest view of whether we should carry on. If we do, brilliant. If you'd rather take what we've built and run it yourself or with someone else, that's a perfectly good outcome too.

How the four weeks work

Across the four weeks

Conversations with your key people

A couple of conversations with each of the people who actually run the business — not just you. I listen to the whole leadership layer to find where structure is missing.

Every week

A working session with you

At least one session a week with you, the founder — to feed back what I'm hearing, stay on the same page, and let you steer me toward anything you want dug into further.

Throughout

I dig where it matters

Directed by what surfaces and by what you most want explored — so the assessment goes deep on what will actually move your business, not a generic checklist.

What you have at the end

01The walk-through

A presentation of what I found

I take you through the operational picture clearly, honestly, and in plain language — what's working, what's breaking, and why. No jargon, no deck for the sake of a deck.

02The plan

A report with prioritised recommendations

A written set of prioritised, sequenced recommendations to move the business forward — yours to keep and act on, with me or without me.

Then it's your call

At the end of the four weeks you own the plan, and you know exactly how I work. The opportunity is for me to deliver it for you as a fractional COO or advisory engagement. But if you'd rather take it elsewhere, you can — no obligation, no hard sell. The whole point is to earn four weeks of trust and respect, and let the work decide whether we go on.

Who it is for

Founder-led businesses between $500k and $15M — in professional services, law firms, digital agencies, and construction — where growth has outpaced structure and you've become the person everything runs through.

The investment

$5,000–$7,500 — a fixed fee for the four weeks, agreed upfront — no open-ended retainer and no surprises. It's a fraction of what a single misfiring operational quarter costs you, and if we go on to work together, it lays the foundation for everything that follows. We confirm the fee on the Clarity Call, once the scope is clear.

Frequently asked questions

Why is it paid if I'm not committing to anything?

Because it's real work that delivers real value — a full operational read and a plan you can act on immediately, whoever executes it. Paying for it keeps it honest on both sides: you get my full attention, and I earn the right to your business rather than assume it.

What happens after the four weeks?

You have a presentation and a prioritised report. You can ask me to deliver the plan as a fractional COO or advisory engagement — or take it to your own team or another operator. No obligation either way.

How is this different from the free Clarity Call?

The 30-minute Clarity Call is a quick, no-cost read of whether there's a fit. The Assessment is the full four weeks — embedded, talking to your team, with a real plan at the end.

How much of my time does it take?

A weekly working session with you, plus access to your key people for a couple of conversations each. It's designed to surface the truth without pulling you or your team off the work.

Start with a conversation
